9. Cheesecloth Herb Butter Turkey Recipe
Here at Noshing With The Nolands, we are celebrating Canadian Turkey Month, which is October! And for that celebration, we have brought to the table this amazing Cheesecloth Herb Butter Turkey Recipe. This is a turkey recipe that I have made countless times before for Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner and it gives you a foolproof turkey every time. I believe I got it initially from Martha Stewart but it has evolved over the years.
The turkey is moist and delicious on the inside and heavenly aromatic, flavorful and crispy on the outside. Perfect to serve with all your side dishes and cranberry sauce. It makes a showstopper of a presentation and you will get rave reviews. The turkey recipe does require basting every 30 minutes but that gets the best golden brown skin ever and trust me the best tasting gravy ever too.

7. Herb Roasted Turkey Breast Recipe
Herb roasted turkey breast is a delicious and flavorful idea for Thanksgiving dinner. Great for smaller families or people who don’t like dark meat! Here’s the thing about this turkey recipe. The hardest part is chopping up all the herbs. And that’s not even hard, it just takes a few minutes and turns your cutting board green.
Once you rub that delicious herb/mustard/olive oil mixture all over this turkey breast, all that’s left to do is pour some Chardonnay in the bottom of the pan, stick the thermometer in and bake it.

5. Pineapple Honey Glazed Ham Recipe
This Pineapple Honey Glazed Ham Recipe is a simple and delicious holiday meal! A flavorful glaze made with pineapple juice, dijon mustard and honey for your spiral ham. The best part of the holiday season is joining together with friends and family to enjoy a wonderful feast. My family tends to enjoy ham more than turkey. Really, we like turkey too so I usually make a Honey Glazed Ham and this Slow Cooker Turkey Breast so we can have both.
This ham recipe is great because the glaze is really easy to prepare. We keep it simple with pineapple juice, honey and mustard for a sweet tangy sauce. I add just a touch of sugar to achieve that sticky syrup consistency. But, you can definitely omit the sugar if you prefer.

4. Crock Pot Honey Ham
When we bought, gutted and remodeled our house one of the huge things was the kitchen. As you can imagine this was my “baby” when we were designing it. Designing was aka stuffing as much cupboards, appliances and counter tops into one space and yet be functional.
My old kitchen was the size of a broom closet and I could not wait to get my hands on a bigger kitchen. It was a dream for me. It’s not huge by any means but it’s way, way more functional that my old kitchen. Plus it’s laid out for efficiency, which I seem to have achieved!

3. Five-Spice Grilled Cornish Hens with Mongolian Barbecue Sauce
This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions remain mine alone. I am greatly appreciative to the brands I love who make this blog possible.
Okay, confession time. We’ve never grilled cornish hens. I think we’ve grilled every.dang.thing under the sun, but not a cornish hen. So I set out to do quite a bit of research before we tackled this recipe, and we learned a ton in the process. This is why I really love working with brands like Tyson and Kikkoman. It typically forces me WAY out of my comfort zone, and I typically learn new cooking methods or techniques along the way.

2. Roasted Duck Legs with Porter Cherry Sauce
I didn’t grow up in a cooking household. With two working parents and seven sisters it was more of a defrost and feed the masses situation. It was culinary triage every day.
I never saw a head of garlic, or a homemade cake, or real whipped cream my entire childhood. The focus was on feeding the herd of people who lived at my house, while still trying to pay the bills. Homemade fancy sunday supper wasn’t at the top of that hierarchy of needs.

1. Julia Child’s Boeuf Bourguignon
What a fabulous adventure this has been for us. I have breathlessly awaited each recipe with anticipation!! Then I researched, watched my Julia DVDs, chopped and sauteed, baked, and cooked Julia’s wonderful recipes for all these weeks. An experience I will treasure for the rest of my life. An ode to a fabulous lady who thought outside the box and brought this side of the world out of frozen dinners and canned products. Back to where we should always be and that is cooking with fresh locally grown produce.
I would also like to thank Alfred A. Knopf Publishing for all their support and the sharing of my photos. Not always the best as I am still learning. Also, I would like to thank Colbern Uhl and YC Media for giving me this chance to share in something so fabulous. I am very grateful to have been chosen to participate. night!! I watched Julia as I have tried to always do prior to making the recipe. She did a much-simplified version than what the written recipe is. No bacon, no carrots, or sliced onion. I improvised between these two recipes and made a fabulous Bourguignon.
