10. Cheesy Crab Dip
Today I’m sharing a recipe that I made for Christmas Eve that was part of our Feast of the Seven Fishes event. Being Italian, I’ve decided the last couple of years to make seven different kinds. This Cheesy Crab Dip was a great addition to our appetizer course.
We first had this dip at a local restaurant a week prior to Christmas Eve. A good friend of ours retired and he invited John and I to help celebrate this momentous event – lucky guy! We tried a few appetizers escargot (not me!) and this tasty dip. Since these same friends would be coming that night, I said I would try and replicate it.

9. Three Olive Tapenade
I did not like green olives until I was pregnant with my son and I always craved them with cottage cheese. I know, it sounds very strange and pregnancy cravings sometimes come out of left field, but I loved it and ate it. A LOT. Now I eat every different type of olive by themselves and in various recipes. One of my favorites is this crazy easy Three Olive Tapenade! It’s right up there with deviled eggs for my must-have party bites.
Last year my brother and his family came out for Easter. I knew they loved olives as much as I do so I had to make them my favorite olive tapenade recipe. They said it was the best tapenade they had ever had! Score one for me!! This tapenade was amazing on Club crackers and we polished off a large bowl.

8. Pepper Steak in Wonton Cups
Pepper Steaks in Wonton Cups are cute little bites of Pepper Steak, onions, and bell peppers in a creamy, savory, peppery sauce served in a crispy wonton cup that are the perfect appetizers for your holiday party.
For those that follow my blog you will see a number of Mexican as well as Asian inspired dishes. I love both cuisines and make both types of recipes often. So it was no surprise when Sunday Supper had an opportunity to work with The Beef CheckOff I jumped at the chance to make my Pepper Steaks in Wonton Cups as holiday appetizers. I love the savory, peppery taste of the beef, onions and bell peppers in a crispy wonton cup.

7. Gruyere, Jalapeño and Ham Sandwiches on Pretzel Bread
Fall means a few things to me, everything that surrounds warm lattes, boots, and football foods! While I enjoy football, I am really there for the food! Finger foods, endless cheesy dips, and handheld sandwiches are a requirement for any tailgate party if I would say.
A family favorite is these ham sammies that my sister in law introduced us to. Ham and swiss slathered in a butter sauce then baked. I am sure everyone has had a version. But these Gruyere, Jalapeño, and Ham Sandwiches on Pretzel Bread rival them! The spicy jalapeño to the smoked gruyere, to the honey baked ham all on a sweet and salty pretzel roll. They are a winning combination!

6. Italian Sausage Crescent Cheese Balls
Italian Sausage Crescent Cheese Balls are a twist on everyone’s favorite holiday appetizer! They come together easily and have just three simple ingredients, making them perfect for Thanksgiving or Christmas!
I am so excited because fall is finally here! It is my favorite time of year for so many reasons, one of them being the holidays! I love to get in the kitchen with some of my favorite goodies to cook up all kinds of yummy recipes to share with my family. I genuinely look forward to the whole process of planning a holiday menu! I love making my list, clipping my coupons, and then heading to the store to shop. I’m one of those crazies who can spend three hours at the grocery store and love every minute of it.

5. Raw Veggie Tarts
These Raw Veggie Tarts are a tasty and kid-friendly way to enjoy loads of chopped up fresh vegetables. They’re perfect for a snack or to serve at a party!
I’m not gonna lie – these little rectangles of puff pastry, covered in a flavorful cream cheese spread, topped with loads of raw veggies was pretty darn tasty. As in, I think I devoured 3 of them in a matter of minutes. Put raw broccoli in front of me and I’ll turn away. Dice it up real small and serve it to me like this and you’ll see me turn into an instant pig. I went a little bit overboard with the photos with this post but you’ll get to see what I did step by step.

4. Prosciutto Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Goat Cheese
Make this easy and impressive appetizer for your next party. Prosciutto Wrapped Dates Stuffed with Goat Cheese and Fig Butter. Drizzle honey and sprinkle salt for the ultimate salty sweet snack! I was strolling through Costco when I spotted the most plump and juicy dates. So I grabbed them and began looking for more ingredients. I came upon prosciutto and knew immediately what I wanted to make.
While goat cheese is not my favorite, it is perfect for stuffed dates. It has a creamy consistency and doesn’t get too melty when heated. And well, I love figs in just about anything! These Prosciutto Wrapped Dates can be served cold or hot. I prefer to bake them. But I certainly wouldn’t turn down the cold option.

2. Truffle Cheese Fondue Little Potatoes
There is a new little potato in town from the rugged and fertile land of the Chilean Andes and they are called Chilean Splash. A new, rich and lively potato from The Little Potato Company. These little guys have some great plate appeal with their fun purple colour on half of the potato.
They have a silky cream skin with a luscious inner texture. The uniqueness though is their fun purple “splash” of colour that are guaranteed to heighten your senses. I have been indulging in a little poutine of late but I wanted to take these potatoes to a whole new level with Truffle Cheese Fondue Little Potatoes.
